Hockey Anyone?

Got a chance to shoot some minor league hockey awhile back. The Texas Stars are a step below the NHL's Dallas Stars, kind of like a Triple-A baseball affiliate. It was incredibly fast paced and fun to shoot. I also got some behind-the-scenes stuff for a photo essay I'm working on. I'll post those photos later on. Is it really almost May?

Houston Dynamo vs. LA Galaxy

I got to shoot soccer for the first time this past weekend and it was pretty cool. The Galaxy won 2-0, but the Dynamo fans were still chanting and singing the entire game. If you have a few minutes, click here for the highlights.

The World Cup is only 2 months away!

Hello iPad

I shot the iPad launch last Saturday. I was expecting a few diehards in lawn chairs, but there were hundreds of people waiting in line when I arrived. The top photo is the countdown hitting zero, and the bottom photo is the (very proud) first iPad owner from the Apple Store at The Domain.

Here is a Mad TV sketch from 3 years ago that is kind of funny in retrospect.

MetroRail

Capital Metro finally opened its commuter rail service on Monday. The Red Line runs from Leander to Downtown. I rode it home from class the other day and it is pretty nice. Guess I have a soft spot for trains. I hope the MetroRail is successful, because the plans for future expansion look awesome.
